Antique Carte de Visite (CDV) Photograph. Identified as Edwin Jason Smith (standing) and his brother Livingston Dennison Smith (seated). Photo by Lettarte studio of Brooklyn, New York. Edwin Jason Smith was born February 21, 1857 and died April 24, 1934. Livingston D. Smith was born January 5, 1854 and died September 4, 1916 at the age of 62. They were the sons of Denison (or Dennison) J. Smith (1826-1884) and Mary Wells Smith (1831-1888). Edwin was married to Annie Brightwood Newell on October 28, 1885. She was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Newell. She was born November 7, 1862 and died November 3, 1947. She is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield, Massachusetts. They had at least two children named Livingston Newell Smith (1886-1953) and Harold Wells Smith (1890-1974.) Both Livingston D. Smith and his brother Edwin J. Smith are also buried in Pine Hill Cemetery. Measures approximately 2.5 x 4.25 including mount. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. The corners have been trimmed and there is moderate foxing.
