Item description

I WILL COVER 1/2 THE COST TO SHIP OUT WITHIN 1 BUSINESS DAY DOMESTIC AND DUE TO THE VALUE IT WILL SHIP 2-3 DAY USPS PRIORITY WITH TRACKING AND INSURANCE ? - FREE CORKED BOTTLE OF ?Magical? 24K GOLD LEAF FLAKES - This listing is for one of the few I have of a vintage actual used Disney Railroad Spike (with the expected patina and slightly bent from use). Please take note this item has not been authenticated by a third party authentication service but it does include the documentation history of the item and how acquired? I am also including a scanned copy of my father?s WED/Disney World ID badge to help complete the story of this items history. Please see all photos and make up your own mind it?s worth to you... Unfortunately there is no way for me to put a value on the sentimental attachment it has with my family... This item is extremely personal and sentimental to me and as painful the struggles been to part with, I am having to do solely out of necessity (medical expenses) and not for just spending money. My father dedicated his entire career to Disney beginning with Walt Disney Productions at the Burbank studios, followed by WED Enterprises, then moving on to Disneyland Walt Disney World. This also included being a Disney representative at the 1964 NY Worlds Fair showcasing ?It?s A Small World?, ?Carousel of Progress? and several other attractions at UNICEF. When he passed some years ago several of these spikes and the documentation was included in the items handed down to me. The railroad spikes, a handwritten descriptive journal and a box of the NY World's Fair super 8mm home movies and other goodies were all in a prop box. When I made the decision to list and sell these I did my very best to display on a nice solid wood stand (the spike just rests atop 2 square pegs ((see photos)) so not to damage by permanently mounting) and the documentation paper trail I categorized on card stock sticker under the wood base. On the top of the base is a diamond engraved solid brass nameplate and I?ve included a lovely Disneyland Railroad mini poster stand to display alongside. Thank you for letting me share dad?s story and I am hoping whoever buys this can appreciate as much as me and my family. I have other Disney treasures I may also be forced to let go in the upcoming weeks, feel free to inquire...
