DICK TRACY RETURNS 1938 15 CHAPTER SERIAL Dick Tracy Returns is the follow up to the original and very successful Dick Tracy serial. It was the 11th of Republic's sixty six serials and also sees Ralph Byrd reprise his role as our hero, Dick Tracy. In this 15-chapter Republic serial Tracy has joined the G-Men in pursuit of criminal mas-termind Pa Stark (Charles Middleton, better known as Ming the Merciless in the Flash Gordon Serials) and his killer sons. Things get off to a rousing start when Stark and his five sons rob an armored car and murder Tracy's pal Ron Merton (David Sharpe). The serial then charts Tracy's efforts to capture the Stark Gang.
