Denver Instruments S-203 Top loading Analytical Balance

When I first power this on the screen displays as shown in the second picture but then the screen clears to just a lighted screen as shown in the 3rd picture. I can't get it to zero or show a weight. It has a couple of spots on top where it looks like something hot came into contact with it a melted the plastic (see pictures). I am offering this AS-IS for parts or repair. It comes with the power supply.
