Up for sale is a deluxe fur handling/fur skinning kit. The kit contains a gambrel, skinning knife, tail stripper, tail zipper, fleshing tool, 12" fleshing knife, and 1 box of aluminum push pins. Skinning Gambrel: This is the most universal skinning gambrel. It securely holds the animals' feet while skinning. There are two chains on top for more stability. This gambrel will work on all animals encountered on your trap line from muskrats to coyotes. Black Handle Skinning Knife: the overall length of the knife is approximately 9" with curved handle to fit your hand. The blade is approximately 4" long with a rounded tip making it a universal style skinning knife. Plastic Tail Stripper: This is a must have item! After skinning part way up the tail, simply insert tail bone into the tail stripper, close, and pull. ***If you have not used a tail stripper or are new to skinning, it is recommended you watch a you tube video to learn proper techniques and tricks so you do not tear the tail. Plastic Tail Zipper: This is a fast and easy tool to split the tail after the tail bone has been removed. It makes a nice smooth cut which shows really well to a fur buyer. Standard Fleshing Tool: This is the most basic of fleshing tools and will work on any critter. The blade is 2 x 3" with and overall length of 8". Works great on the smaller critters such as muskrat and mink or as a "finishing" tool on missed spots on the larger animals. 12" Fleshing Knife: This Fleshing Knife measures 12" x 1oe". It is a two handled knife with a one piece steel blade for coyote, coon, fox, and other similar sized animals. Used by professionals and amateurs alike. One edge is sharp for fine scraping around ears, armpits, etc. The other edge is dull and can be used to "push" the large belly fat and near the hind quarter areas. Aluminum Push Pins: Aluminum push pins are ideal for attaching pelts smaller than beaver and otter to wooden stretchers. Reusable. No Hammer needed. Does not damage pelts. Tempered steel.
