Citrus mitis, the Calamondin, is a miniature orange tree that originates from tropical regions of China and Japan. It grows up to 6 meters high for 3 meters wide. It grows well in pots and can be kept as an apartment plant. The plant blooms from March to June. The small white flowers will perfume your whole house. After pollination, they will grow small orange-like fruits about 3-5 cm wide. They are comestible, but very acid. The Calamondin is more cultivated for its decorative aspect than for its fruits.
