This is a vintage July 21, 1959 7:30pm ticket stub for CBS Television Network Television Studio No. 50 located at 1697 Broadway at 53rd Street, New York: The Andy Williams Show with Andy Williams. Dress Rehearsal Only The Andy Williams Show series began 3July 1958 on ABC TV as a 30-minute musical variety show where Andy would always sing a few of his own hit songs and always had a big name guest star or 2. The show went off the air in Sept 1958 and reappeard in July 1959 onCBS TV as a 60-minute show. It went off th air for the 2nd time in Sept 1959. The show was a summer replacement series for whatever popular series was usually on during the time slot but was on hiatus until September when they returned with all new show.. The CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System) is an American English-language commercial broadcast television and radio network that is the flagship property of the CBS Entertainment Group division of ViacomCBS. CBS is referred to as the Eye Network in reference to the company's trademark symbol in use since 1951. The network has its origins in United Independent Broadcsters Inc, a collection of 16 radio stations bought by Paley in 1928 and renamed Columbia Broadcasting System.
