Product description: From the Introduction of this 56 page booklet: "When German immigrant Carl Hilmer Guenther opened a tiny, modest flour mill in the heart of pioneer country, he never imagined his business would endure Indian raids, a Civil War, the Industrial Revolution, the largest flood in the history of San Antonio, two World Wars and the Great Depression. Nevertheless, it did. In fact, just like the old saying 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger', his one-room log cabin venture grew to become the oldest and one of the largest continually owned family milling operation in the country. Pioneer Flour Mills started out with just one flour: Texas Pioneer brand. It was distributed in wooden barrels and cloth bags from which resourceful moms would make flour sack dresses and shirts for their kids. But it wasn't long before other product innovations followed. And today the company produces everything from biscuit mixes to gravy to frozen dough to fully baked potatoes. G.H. Guenther also revolutionized flour packaging. Proof of that are the paper flour bag and resealable canister that came to replace the 196 pound wood barrels. Today the company processes nearly 8 million bushels of wheat and corn each years. The business continues to operate under the name of G.H. Guenther and Son. After fifteen decades of growth and change, two things still remain the same: the Guenther family's ownership of the company and their relentless commitment to quality. So it is with much pride that we bring you these recipes. Our great, great, great grandmother's favorites, our mother's specialities, and some of our very own inventions." Included are 63 recipes in the following categories: Breakfast; Appetizers and Snacks; Desserts; Beverages; Sides; Breads; and Main Courses along with many family photos and color photos of the finished recipes.
