Bo fajans, or Bobergs Fajansfabrik AB, was a ceramic factory in Gavle, active 1874-1967. The factory was founded in 1874 by the manufacturer Erik Boberg with the name Bobergs Fajansfabrik AB. To begin with, only consumer goods were manufactured, but from Gosta Boberg as designer in 1910 also artistic, folklore-based earthenware. From the 1920s, in collaboration with Gabriel Burmeister, Allan Ebeling, Eva Jancke-Bjork and Maggie Wibom, he developed a wider range of art pieces, including solid firewood. Gosta Boberg later became the factory's technical manager. In 1924, the name was changed to Bo fajans. Many famous designers such as Gosta Boberg (1910-1940s), Allan Ebeling (1921-27), Gabriel Burmeister (1922-1925), Eva Jancke-Bjork (1925-1956), Maggie Wibom (1925-1933), Ewald Dahlskog (1929-1950) and Maud Fredin-Fredholm (19465-1949), Berit Ternell (1951-1957), Lillie Dahlgren (1956-1962), Christina Fiedler-Prastgaard (1958-1966), Tom Wilson (1961-1967) ) and Lena Brodin (1966-1967) have over the years been involved in the factory. Individual objects have also been designed by Stig Blomberg, Karl Hultstrom, Ivar Johnsson and Irma Yourstone. The factory (which was located in Gavle) was closed in 1967 after production was taken over by Steninge Lervarufabrik.
