In 'Blades of Glory' (2007), when rival figure skaters Chaz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy McElroy (Heder) start battering each other on an Olympic podium in front of the world's press, they're stripped of their gold gongs and banned from the sport for life. Several years down the line and they're reduced to IceCapades-type ice theatre shows and hating it considerably. There's one loophole that might get them back into competing but it involves them pairing up and becoming the first male-male pair in world figure skating. Their macho egos are only two of the obstacles they need to overcome, and hating each other certainly doesn't help. In 'Napoleon Dynamite' (2004), in Preston, Idaho, the High School is launching the elections for class president. Napoleon Dynamite (Heder) is the school geek, brutalised by the jocks, stuck living with an eccentric grandmother and an Internet-obsessed older brother, and best friends with the newest kid in class, Pedro (Efren Ramirez), a Mexican immigrant. Napoleon conceives the idea of getting Pedro to run for class president, and he's prepared to use any means necessary to win against evil teen-queen Summer Wheatly (Haylie Duff). Finally, 'School for Scoundrels' (2006) stars Billy Bob Thornton as a bullying self-improvement tutor. Roger (Heder) is a spineless NY meter-maid who drives a three-wheeled electric vehicle for a living. He's plagued by low self-esteem and anxiety attacks and, in general, is a rather poor excuse for a man. On a friend's advice, he signs up for a secret self-improvement class at the local community college run by Dr. P (Thornton) - a bullying, sadistic despot; sample line - 'you can't help yourself, because yourself sucks'. When Roger graduates class and starts to get comfortable with his new backbone, however, he finds that Dr. P has taken a shine to Amanda (Jacinda Barrett), the object of his desires. The game, as they say, is ON.
