This is a beautiful seven piece handmade from solid brass handcrafted in Korea in the 1950s it is amazingly durable and can serve as either an actual cooking set or a decoration. Pictures 13 and 14 plainly show a small piece of red paper. This red paper was slipped through a place in the bottom of the plate that is soldered or sealed. I cannot be certain where the cooking set was made. It was purchased from a U.S, serviceman who was in South Korea in the late 1950s. He said at that time the South Koreans were using brass from artillery rounds left behind after the war to manufacture a lot of objects to sell to tourists and GI's. Components of the set are: 1. 11/-1/2 inch diameter all brass containment base plate 2. A three-legged base stand measuring 7 inches high 8 1/2 inches wide. 3. A 3- 1/4- inch diameter liquid fuel pot. 4. A 1?x 5? flame reducer cover for the fuel pot. 5. A 9-3/4 in wide x 3-3/4 in deep brass cooking pot with overall length of 15 in. 6. Smartly decorated lid to fit the pan above. Lid has 7-3/4 in diameter. 7. A 1 x 5-inch flame smother cover. The fuel stand assembly is for a nine and three-quarter inch diameter cooking pot which is 3 1/4 inches deep and measures 15 inches overall when the wooden handle is included. Overall, the unit measures 10 1/2 inches high x 16-1/2 inches wide. The total weight assembled is 6 lbs. 14 oz. It will be shipped fully insured.
