Offered here is this Beautiful Turn of The Century Gibson Girl Style Edwardian Skirt. It is made of cotton linen material, with lovely lace accents around the bottom ruffled layers, with an attached inner ruffle around the bottom with give the skirt depth and fullness. It has a slight train in the length, being 36.5” from waist to hem in the front, and about 39.5” from waist to hem in the back, with the waist being about 12” in diameter. The skirt is unfortunately not in the best condition, as would be expected from a skirt of this delicate material that is well over 100 years old. The hook and eye closures at the waist are missing, and there are several holes in this area as well as some other tears in the skirt, mainly in the bottom sections of the ruffles. The skirt material is very thin, to the point of being translucent. The skirt also has some tiny moth holes in it, in various areas all over. It has beautifully done lace accents around the bottom ruffles. This is a genuinely nice Edwardian Gibson Girl style skirt. It would be a nice addition to any Victorian or Edwardian Era Clothing collection, as well as being a nice example for a pattern.
