Offered here is this Antique Victorian Sideboard. The piece is in incredibly good condition, particularly given that it most likely dates to the 19th Century. I am unsure if the glass in the mirror is original to the piece, but it is also in excellent condition. This sideboard has amazing carved details, and is very majestic, while being delicate and ornate at the same time. There are a few places in the top carved details where the wood is cracked and beginning to split. There is a small trim piece missing from the front top decorative piece, in the “dragon’s tail”. This can be seen in the photos. The top piece by itself is 40” tall, 48” wide, with the mirror being 23” wide, 29.25” top to bottom, the trim at the top of the piece is 51” wide. There is 11.5” from the shelf to the top overhang of the piece. The bottom portion of the sideboard is in comparable condition, with some light surface scratches and dings to the finish from general use over the years, but overall in amazing condition, considering its age. The piece has original hardware on the drawers, which feature the same dragon face detail to match the top decorative trim. The drawers were made to lock, however, there is not a key with the piece. It has dovetail joints and comes with four casters. The casters look like they are original to the piece and have the old wooden wheels. The bottom of the inside center compartment is a little warped from moisture, and whatever may have been stored inside. The bottom portion of the piece is 36.5” tall, 48” wide, 23” deep, 44.5” across front at the feet. The piece is about 71” tall total when assembled together. It is an amazing, beautiful Victorian piece. It is a must have addition for your antique Victorian collection.
