Item description

This is a nice antique hand painted wooden two door cabinet (see photos). I believe that this is the top portion of a two piece cabinet and it likely has a metal or wooden base at one time (see photos and decide). The item is made of wood with brass or bronze ornate mounts and hardware and it has some inlaid wood decorations. The chest has the original artist painted oil paintings of several ships of which I can see are Christopher Columbus's ships. The decoration is hand painted on the wood by a talented artist. The item is from a nice estate (see photos). The item is not marked by a maker (see photos and determine the age and the maker). The item looks to me to be Mission Arts Crafts Era Period furniture (see photos and determine the origin). I believe the furniture is from America and it US in origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The item is antique. The chest is likely missing a base. It is in as found estate condition. The chest has a lock, the doors are currently unlocked and I do not have a key. The chest has an original painted finish that was likely more blue than the green it now appears in the photos. The item has scuffs, some scratches, it has wear and some paint and finish losses and other signs of wear from age, use and handling (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). The item measures about 2 feet 9 and 1/2 inches high, it is about 1 foot 4 and 1/2 inches deep from the front edge to the back side and it is about 3 feet 2 inches wide. This nice item to add to your collection.
