This antique Chinese Altar Table is A Rare Find. The front of the table is intricately carved with "flying dragon" design. Traditional Chinese "Auspicious" patterns decorate the back of the table (the table can be displayed from both sides) The side panels of the table is carved with Chinese "Eternity" design motif. The ornate carvings are double sided and can be viewed from both sides. The wood plank used for the surface of this table is more than two inches thick. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. This is very heavy table with great details of handwork. The table is made with the core of elmwood and is very solid. Circa late of 18th century. Original patina and wear.
