A unique antique belt( I assume) from the Victorian era is comprised of 9 square silver-etched segments and 8 silver-encased amethyst purple glass segments joined with a double chain. Each end of the belt has a hook. The belt can be closed by hooking the first segment or anywhere along the chain. Now, with the two hooks, it could also be hung from the shoulders of a top or worn as a necklace. It is not marked for silver but is tarnished. It is almost 34" long, 1 1/8" wide.
