This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE COCKTAIL BROOCH that was made in the ART DECO period of the 1920s from PLATINUM (front) and 18K ROSE GOLD (back). The brooch is centrally bezel-set with 1 BLUE SAPPHIRE that weighs approx. 2.60 ct. This sapphire has a DARK COLOR and measures close to 9.85 x 8 x 3.84 mm. The brooch is framed with 63 WHITE PEARLS and it is my opinion that the pearls may have been replaced. The brooch is detailed with a combination of 36 OLD MINE FULL SINGLE CUT DIAMONDS that weigh approx. 2.48 ctw. These diamonds are in the F to J color range with SI to I clarity and the two largest diamonds are approx. .20 ct. each. There are an additional 78 tiny ROSE CUT DIAMONDS that are gray in color weighing approx. .77 ctw. The total diamond weight is approx. 3.25 ctw.
