Dendrocalamus minor amoenus – Angel Mist Clumping Bamboo "White" or "Ghost" Bamboo 1 Value Priced Division This listing is for 1 bamboo division. Basically, a division is result of the propagation process we use when we are creating more inventory to sell. We take a mature plant and divide the roots into smaller sections, each with at least one cane. The division may or may not have leaves - we will trim the cane at the 1st or 2nd node and it will be 9 to 18 inches tall. We have very good success with these divisions survival and we would expect you too as well. The 6th picture is an example of several bamboo division. Now, below, more about the Angel Mist bamboo overall. This bamboo is commonly called Angel Mist Bamboo, some know it as Ghost Bamboo or White Bamboo. The name comes from the canes which are covered with a blueish-white powder as they develop. When young, the blue/white powder will be just at the node; as the plant matures, the blue/white powder will cover the full cane. Showing slightly through this powder is the base color of the cane with can range from green, to light green to yellow with dark green vertical stripes. Another beautiful characteristic of this bamboo is the young canes often have a purplish cast for the first six months to a year - see the 6th picture for an example of this purple coloring. With an upright growth pattern and very large tropical looking leaves, this stunning bamboo contrasts beautifully with the dark green canes of Seabreeze and Oldhamii or the attention-getting bright yellow canes of Asian Lemon. Use it as a centerpiece plant or create an attractive hedge that will mature quickly into an eye-catching focal point. At maturity, the bamboo can reach 30 feet in height and 3 inches in diameter. Fully hardy in zones 9 to 11, returning from the roots in zone 8. Once established, no supplemental watering is needed. No shipments to ARIZONA or HAWAII.
