Item description

An extremely well made american plated teacaddy.....photos will highlight this "should be english" item.....the rim scratch pattern is deep, complex, and naturally occuring.....hinge is reminiscent of english design.....i'd like to say 19 th.C but cant be to hasty.....ivory/bone?...handle passes red hot pin test......marked only with the letter P.....plating wear around handle suggests how many fingers hit it before the handle.....my 35 yrs of intuition says after 1900, before WW1......possibly 19th.C....also wing nut, bolt, all made by hand.thanks for considering.
