Item description

EL FINAL DE NORMA by Pedro Antonio de Alarcon Edited by Paul T. Manchester, Ph.D. and Jose D. Hernandez, M.A. Century Co., 1933, First Printing Condition: Very Good+ to Near Fine This was one of the most popular Spanish novels of the 19th century, a story of adventure and romance, concerning the voyage of the main character, Sarafin, from Spain to the Arctic Circle. There are four photo plates showing key locations along his route, plus two maps. The editors also provide many footnotes defining unusual words and difficult constructions, a vocabulary list of frequently used words and exercises. The book is ideal reading for students in their second year of the study of Spanish. The book has pencil writing on the ffep and here and there throughout the text; otherwise, it has little wear. No dust jacket. This study edition is very scarce.
