In Maine, Lincoln Perry is one of the young artists trained in the classical studio tradition who are searching the past for themes as well as techniques that are relevant to the late 20th century. By repeatedly flipping the wet paper on a clean, flat tabletop, she causes the paint to mix and blend, thereby establishing interesting colors and textures.
