Item description
90% Germination Rate
Grow Zones: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
Container size: 5 gallon pot
SMR - 58 is a top producing, Non-GMO, open-pollinated heirloom variety of pickling cucumber that is resistant to both scab disease and cucumber mosaic virus. It is considered a must-have for patio and container gardeners alike and will even thrive in extreme heat temperatures. Expect trailing vines of cucumber fruits from this winning variety. To best support the vines, trellis the plant.
Germination instructions: Plant seeds 1 inch deep in moist loose soil. If planting into the ground, space the plants 2 ft. by 4 ft. apart. Keep the seeds and the soil moist daily. Germination should take place in 10 days. When preparing your soil, it is recommended to ensure that the soil is very loose so that the roots can really spread easily. The roots are tender. Likewise, once should take care not to transplant later on to avoid ripping the roots apart.
