Shou Sugi Ban is the ancient Japanese technique used to preserve wood by charring it with fire. I cut the wood down to 3.5" wide and 1.5" tall and drill out the center to make hole for plant, sand down the edges for smoothness and do a light char on the wood to bring out the best of the wood grain. Rattan strip double wrapped around the wood planter and tied to bow for that extra touch of love. Favors made ready to showcase and are individually wrapped for shipping.
