It was cut on laser cutter. It is made from "bare" 3mm MDF wood board. It has very, very small pieces that ARE NOT suitable for young children. While assembling you may need rubber bands or like item to hold pieces in place. Pieces may fit snug or loose, this is normal. The snug fitting pieces will loosen up with putting them together and taking them apart. Puzzle needs glue in order to stay put together permanently. The discolorations are "burn marks" from laser cutting. They can be removed by lightly sanding or painting over them or left alone to add character! Laser cutting either melts, burns, vaporizes or is blown away by a jet of gas. Depending on the material, this process can create some potent odors. NOT TO WORRY, the odor dissipates! If you lose, misplace, break, want additional parts (or whatever!) we can help you out! For the cost of shipping we will send needed additional pieces.
