Oskar Bohme was born in 1870. He originated from Dresden. In 1888 Bohme graduated from the Leipzig conservatoire and in 1889 he started working at the orchestra of the Petersburgian Imperial Theatres. During the period of 1903â??1921 Bohme practised at the Mariinsky Theatre, and from 1921 to 1930 at the season symphonic concerts. The same time Bohme served as the teacher at the Music College, located in the Vasiliostrovsky District of Petrograd. As to the thirties, they were marked for his activity at the Bolshoy Drama Theatre Orchestra and later at the Chkalov Music College.
