1981 BMW 1 - MB52 by Matchbox. This is a 1:57 scale model. This is a die cast toy sports car has candy apple red body with decals on the top, on the hood / bonnet and both sides. This German two seater was a 1987 release by Matchbox, in blue box, which is dated to 1987. Made in China, Circa 1987 and Copyrighted by Matchbox International. Measurements are approximately 3 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. The BMW M1 (BMW type code E26) is a sports car produced by German automotive manufacturer BMW from 1978 to 1981. In the late 1970s, Italian manufacturer Lamborghini entered into an agreement with BMW to build a production racing car in sufficient quantity for homologation, but conflicts arose that prompted BMW to produce the car themselves. The result was sold to the public, from 1978 to 1981, as the BMW M1. This rare vintage item is collectible and it is in like new condition. In original box. (Box has minor wear.) Please see photos.
