Item description

1981-1982 Enamelled RAF BRUGGEN Hanging Shield. Unsure of the original purpose of this decorative and attractive item. RAF Bruggen in Germany was situated next to the village of Elmpt, approximately 43 km west of Dusseldorf near the German-Netherlands border. It was a major station of the Royal Air Force until it closed on June 15th 2001. Der Adler translates literally as 'the eagle' which was a biweekly magazine published by Scherl Verlag. Only 146 of these magazines were published between 1939-1944. An interesting and attractive decorative piece for a collector of military or RAF memorbillia. Dimensiosnapprox; 11 cm x 9.5 cm There may be light signs of wear consistant with normal use as this is a vintage / pre-loved item. Colour may vary slightly from the photos due to lighting conditions. Comes as pictured. Feel free to ask for more details if needed.
