Item description

1968 Vintage Photo Postcard QSL Card W9JZA and (Antique) Radio Equipment Wonderful historical photograph of old amateur radio equipment, (what looks like a slingshot hanging on the wall) and "Gilbert G. Galambus" operator, who seems very happy in the photo. (Although I especially like the printed curtains and the old telephone...Grew up using one just like it, on a party line!) Postmarked February 19 1968 in Hammond, Indiana ALSO INCLUDED: A photo copy (on plain paper) of a newspaper article about Gilbert written by Diane Kublak with a "Post-Tribute" photo of Gilbert Galambus chatting on his Ham Radio in his room at the Life Care Center in Valparaiso, with daily shout outs to his daughters Evelyn woolfe or Gertrude Mickisich (both of Hammond). Do not know where this article came from, what newspaper or date of publication. It was printed out by my late husband, and found in a folder of his Ham Radio Mementos. CONDITION: Very good condition for a 45 year old photograph postcard. No pin holes rips or tears. Upper left corner shows some wear and discoloration. Postmark is clear and readable. Back (address side) is clean and not smudged or smeared. Newspaper article is a copy printed on plain paper.
