Item description

George Wharton Pepper was elected to Congress as a Philadelphian in 1922. He lost the campaign in 1926 to William Vare who had a questionable association with unsavory mob members and never sat in Congress. In the meantime Pepper returned to his legal practice, while Grundy was appointed to fill Pepper's seat. Pepper attended the University of Pennsylvania and when in Congress chaired many committees. The pin has a light blue background. Inside the back is a blurb printed on paper about the manufacturer of the pin. It is in nice condition. We must collect 6% Pennsylvania Sales and Use Tax at checkout. Thanks for stopping by!
