This is a previous Junior High library book with a few of the typical markings (one ink stamp to front inside cover, and ink on copyright page). It also has some pencil writing on the last inside blank page. Overall very good condition, especially for its age, with some natural age toning to interior pages. Hard cover very lightly rubbed at corners and spine ends but still displays very well. Extremely collectible in good antique condition! From Preface: This course in ear training is definite, easily taught, and sufficiently comprehensive for an elementary course. Since it is designed for training purposes rather than for use as tests, it is suggested that the book be placed in the hands of the pupils when they are able to read music, and that the melodies under Oral Tone, Oral and Written Melody, and Familiar Songs, be sung from the notation with the Latin syllables and also a neutral syllable, by the class and individuals, previous to the use of the melodies as indicated at the beginning of the various parts of the course.
