1872 Autograph Book Jackson Sanatorium Dansville OOAK 50 Signatures Castle Hill The Jackson Sanatorium was a Health Resort founded in October, 1858 by Dr. James Caleb Jackson - It was an early health spa. Sometimes referred to as the Castle on the Hill or the Castle of Wellness. This personal autograph book was signed in 1872 - it belonged to Mr. and Mrs. WR Read, guests of the Health Resort and it appears she was collecting autographs in commemoration of her stay at the resort in the Villula Cottage.
