The quick connect fitting on the hose has a sleeve that you pull back (towards the hose) as you slide the fitting onto the male quick connect on your heater. Make sure you slide it all the way onto that fitting until the sleeve snaps back into place. This hose has a standard fitting for a 20 lb propane tank which is 3/8 inch female flare fitting that will connect on any tank with OPD valves The hose is two different metal ends. The regulator end is the same size as a gas grill line with a 20 lb. tank and a quick-connect fitting on the heater side.
