Item description

1100+ Buttercrunch Lettuce Seeds - Non-GMO Heirloom Vegetable Variety | Butterhead Lettuce for Microgreens or Planting | Lactuca Sativa 90% Germination Rate Grow Zones: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 Lettuce is a tasty treat. These lettuce seeds (Latin name: Lactuca sativa var. capitata), are a southern favorite because they are easy to grow and can withstand some heat. Not like most other vegetables, mind you...but this heirloom variety of lettuce will not automatically wilt in a little sun. The flavor is rich and hardy (reminiscent of butter) and the texture is soft and silky. The seeds are both "Pure" and true-to-seed; meeting the needs for both microgreen growers and vegetable garden growers. Should you be planting in a hot-weathered climate, ensure the lettuces are in the shade for most of the day (south-facing) for best results. Germination instructions: Plant seeds 1/8th of an inch down, barely sprinkling them with soil. Keep seeds and soil moist, ensuring that the seeds don't sink down when misting with water. Germination takes up to 10 days. Once germinated, spread the lettuces a half of a foot apart once they have grown into healthy seedlings.
