10 Mugo Pine - Swiss Mountain Pine (Pinus Mugo, mughus) 2.5- 5 inches tall.
Native to mountain ranges in Europe, Great as a bonsai or as a landscape plant.
This slow-growing spreading pine can eventually reach 8 foot wide and 10 foot wide, but can be pruned to keep at 1 foot or less. Needles are coarser and a bit longer than the Dwarf Swiss Mount Pine (Pinus mugo, pumillo). Prefers full sun to partial shade and is tolerant to wide variety of soil types including sandy and clay soil. Hardy to USDA zones 2-7.
