Item description

Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1940s Film-Noir drama, THE STRANGE CASE OF UNCLE HARRY, released in 1945 by Universal Pictures and directed by Robert Siodmak. The image features a close publicity shot of actress Sara Allgood in costume as "Nora." It is in fine+ condition as shown. Bachelor Harry Quincey, head designer in a small-town cloth factory, lives with his selfish sisters, glamorous hypochondriac Lettie and querulous widow Hester. His developing relationship with new colleague Deborah Brown promises happiness at last...thwarted by passive, then increasingly active opposition from one sister. Will Harry resort to desperate measures?
