Item description

Vintage original 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1930s sports-themed drama/romance, THE SPORT PARADE, released by RKO in 1932 and directed by Dudley Murphy. The image depicts spoiled sports hero Sandy Brown (Joel McCrea) as he holds "Shifty" Morrison (Walter Catlett) by his face while holding him inside of a gym locker. It is in fine+ condition as shown. Dartmouth football stars Sandy Brown and Johnny Baker follow different paths after college: Baker becomes a sports reporter while pal Brown chases the money of the pro game, but ends up as a wrestler with big debts. Irene Stewart is the woman that comes between them, and a bored radio announcer adds the few light moments as he follows their careers.
