Vintage original 7.75 x 9.75 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1980s USN fighter pilots-themed action drama, TOP GUN, released in 1986 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Tony Scott, in which as students at the United States Navy's elite fighter weapons school compete to be best in the class, one daring young pilot learns a few things from a civilian instructor that are not taught in the classroom. The image depicts USN fighter pilot Tom Cruise falling for his flight instructor, Kellly McGillis. Affixed to the bottom of the verso (which wraps around to the front) is the original Paramount Pictures paper snipe that describes the image. This photograph comes from a newspaper archive and is untrimmed in very fine- condition as shown with a small crease on the top left corner.
