Vintage original 11x14 in. U.S. lobby card from the early sound musical, THE BAD ONE, released in 1930 by United Artists and directed by George Fitzmaurice. The film featured art direction by William Cameron Menzies and cinematography by Karl Struss. The image features a medium shot of a dramatic moment from the film as Lita (Dolores Del Rio), wearing a beautiful dark green shawl over a red dress, anxiously looks out of a window while a gendarme shoots a machine gun as the Warden (George Fawcett) tries to restrain her by her shoulders. She is surrounded by four gendarmes and an older woman. It is unrestored in very good+ condition with light soiling in the borders; one set of staple holes in 3 of the 4 corners within the borders only; multiple pinhole and staple holes in the top border; a 1-in. and 0.25-in. diagonal crease and signs of wear on the top left corner; a 0.75-in. diagonal tear on the top border approximately 3 inches from the left corner; a 0.5-in. vertical tear on the top border near the right corner with a 1-in. diagonal crease to the right of it; a small crease and signs of wear on the top right corner; a 1-in. diagonal crease in the bottom of the right border; a 0.75-in. diagonal crease on the bottom right corner; random signs of wear along the edge of the left-half of the bottom border; a 0.5-in. diagonal crease and signs of wear on the bottom left corner; three pinholes in the bottom third of the left border; one pinhole in the bottom portion of Miss Del Rio's dress with two pinholes beneath it on either side; and a 0.75-in. area of creasing on the center of the left border. The colors are very fresh and vibrant and this card looks very nice in person.
