Item description

Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the 1930's sound version of HUCKLEBERRY FINN, released in 1931 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Norman Taurog. Based upon the classic novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain, runaway Huck Finn (Junior Durkin) rafts down the Mississippi with his friends. The cast includes Jackie Coogan, Mitzi Green, Jackie Searl, Eugenne Palette, Clarence Muse, Clara Blandick, Jane Darwell, Oscar Apfel, Warner Richmond, Charlotte Henry, and Guy Oliver. The image features an interior scene inside the office of Judge Thatcher (Guy Oliver) as he argues with Pap Finn (Warner Richmond). It features a beautiful glossy finish which Paramount and some of the other studios adopted at this time. It is unrestored in near-fine condition with creases of varying sizes in the right half of the first 4 in. of the card; creasing and signs of wear on the bottom right corner and in the bottom third of that border; random creases in the left border; and a few scattered creases in the bottom third of the card. The rich color tints are very fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
