Vintage original 11 x 14 in. US lobby card from the classic 1950's Miami-set comedy/drama, A HOLE IN THE HEAD, released in 1959 by United Artists and directed by Frank Capra. Based upon the play by Arnold Schulman, widower Tony (Frank Sinatra) is trying to keep a small Miami hotel afloat while raising a 12-year-old son. He's forced to ask his harried brother, Mario (Edward G. Robinson), for help, but he'll only bail Tony out if he quits his bohemian lifestyle and marries a sensible woman (Eleanor Parker). The cast includes Carolyn Jones, Thelma Ritter, Keenan Wynn, and Joe Lansing. As indicated in the center of the bottom border, this is lobby card #2 from the set of 8 cards. The image depicts an interior shot of Tony Manetta (Frank Sinatra) and Eloise Rogers (Eleanor Parker). It is unrestored in near-fine condition with a Canadian censor stamp. A Hole in the Head was the first color feature film in the career of director Frank Capra and was his first feature since directing Here Comes the Groom (1951).
