Vintage original First Draft script from the popular 1990's/2000's hospital-themed television drama, ER, created by Michael Crichton. It is from Season 2, Episode 22, which was entitled John Carter, M.D., in which Lewis refuses the job as chief resident for next year and Weaver is appointed attending physician. Written by John Wells and dated March 30, 1996, this First Draft script consists of four acts in 74 pages on blue stock which were 3-hole punched and bound with two brass brads between a cream cardstock front and back cover. It is in overall very fine condition with random signs of light wear on the front cover. There are no missing pages, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws, nor are there any handwritten notations present within. At the beginning of the episode, right after the intro, Carter and Dr Benton are coming down the stairs and Carter mentions that everyone is coming to his graduation, including his sister. At no other time in the entire series is a sister mentioned, only his brother, who died of cancer when they were young. The writers decided that a sister would not fit into Carter's future storyline, so they magically never mentioned it again. The sister was mentioned in Season One around Thanksgiving.
