Item description
Vintage copy script (not a vintage original script) from the classic 1960's crime drama/mystery thriller television series, THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR, produced by Universal City Studios and others and directed by David Friedkin. It is from Season 3, Episode 2, which was entitled Thou Still Unravished Bride, in which a man is greatly concerned for his fiancรฉe's safety after she has taken a walk alone in the London fog while an elusive strangler is on the loose, potentially putting her life at risk if she encounters the relentless killer who targets lone women on the street.
Written by Morton Fine and David Friedkin from the story by Avram Davidson, this script is dated November 30, 1964. It consists of four acts in 56 pages on white stock which were 3-hole punched and bound with brass brads without any covers. It is complete in very fine condition with light signs of wear around the two brads on the front cover and the last page. There are no missing pages, tears, stains, or other flaws, nor are there any handwritten notations present within.
The title "Thou still unravished bride" is the beginning of the poem, "Ode on a Grecian Urn," by the Romantic poet John Keats. Kent Smith and Edith Atwater, who played Mr. and Mrs. Benner, were actually husband and wife in real life from 1962 until 1985, Mr. Smith's death.
