This listing is for ONE Custom Made Faux (Imitation) Ivory Whale's Tooth. This is NOT a REAL tooth. It is made of polyurethane. The original tooth was harvested long before the ban on whaling and no living whale was harmed in the cloning (duplicating) of this tooth. The dimensions of the tooth are 5" x 2.25" x 1.25". It is not hollow. It is solid polyurethane resin and weighs 7 oz. LOOK AT THE PHOTOS. One side of the original was sanded to remove most, but not all of the tooth detail. The other side looks exactly as it did when it came from the whale.. The imitation tooth will copied in this fashion. THE MASTER IMAGE HAS BEEN TINTED TO SHOW THE NATURAL MARKINGS OF THE TOOTH. THE ITEM PURCHASED WILL BE OFF WHITE. This Poly product will engrave or scrimshaw very nicely. Just sand it smooth, seal the pores with a good quality wax and use sharp tools. FAQ (1) If you purchase more than ONE ITEM, DO NOT PAY UNTIL WE SEND A COMBINED INVOICE!!! (2) Feedback: Leave it, receive it. You don?t, you won?t. (3) All resin items are hand poured into silicone molds. YOU will do final shaping and sanding. The items are not sold or advertised as final products. (4) All FAUX STAG items are hand poured and hand colored. Inconsistencies are just the same as in nature. If you are looking for perfection, sorry I can?t oblige. (5) Dimensions advertised are +/- 1/16? AVERAGE. The items are NOT advertised or sold as final products, YOU need to sand, carve and finish them. (6) All Faux Whale Teeth are solid, NOT hollow. All of them reflect gouges, scrapes and are an exact copy of the surface of the real tooth.
