(2) Antique Color Postcards, circa pre-1907. Depicting two scenes in Bingham, Maine including the old platform ferry (notice the horse riding on it), and one of the Rowe Ponds. Both published on behalf of G.W. Morris of Portland, Maine. Undivided back, one postmarked 1906 and the other 1907. Condition: These are original antique postcards, not a copy or reproduction. They are in excellent condition. Comments: Bingham is a town in Somerset County, Maine, in the United States. The population was 866 at the 2020 census. Bingham is a historic town located beside the Kennebec River. First settled in 1785, the town is named after William Bingham, a Philadelphia banker and politician who at one time owned two million acres of land in Maine known as the Bingham Purchase. The community was incorporated on February 6, 1812.
