Basically, this is the propagation process we use when we are creating more inventory to sell. We take a mature plant and divide the roots into smaller sections, each with at least one cane. When young, the blue/white powder will be just at the node; as the plant matures, the blue/white powder will cover the full cane. With an upright growth pattern and thin-walled canes, this stunning bamboo contrasts beautifully with the dark green canes of Seabreeze, Oldhamii or the attention-getting bright yellow canes of Asian Lemon or Hawaiian Gold. Use it as a centerpiece plant or create an attractive hedge that will mature quickly into an eye-catching focal point. At maturity, the bamboo can reach 30 feet in height and 2 inches in diameter.
