Brand new factory sealed blu-ray dvd combo set. Out Of Print (OOP) and no longer being manufactured. In New York City, various bodies are discovered with pieces and organs missing. The workers at a NYC hospital, led by Professor Stafford (Walter Patriarc), are shocked when they discover an intern in the act of eating a heart extracted from a body in the morgue. The intern leaps from a high window to his death. Dr. Peter Chandler (Ian McCullough) of the NYC Health Dept. is summoned to investigate, and he finds a worthy ally in Dr. Lori Ridgeway (Alexandra Delli Colli), who majored in anthropology as well as medicine. While watching a slide presentation documenting similar cases, Lori recognizes a tattoo shared by the flesh-eater which also appears on a sacrificial dagger she owns, which originated on the island of Keto. Chandler and Lori then set off for Keto, accompanied by marksman George (Peter O'Neal) and reporter Susan Kelly (Sherry Buchanan). There, they are greeted by the reclusive Dr. Obrero (Donald O'Brien), who offers them his manservant Moloto (Dakkar) to serve as their guide through the uncertainties of the jungle. Overnight, their number is quickly and gruesomely decimated by native cannibal tribes until the carnage is interrupted by the greater horror of a zombie population--corpses with brains transplanted from the (unwilling) living, bred by Obrero as a master race imperviuos to death. While Chandler falls into Obrero's unsanitary clutches, Lori escapes into the jungle, where she is captured by a native tribe and subjected to strange rites of coronation which require that she be stark naked... X-level violence including scalpings, intestine pulls, conscious cranial misery surgeries and the infamous boat motor face gouging. Adding to the fun is the outrageous dialogue, male female full frontal nudity, a slide show (found footage!) with clues and silly continuity errors (a dummy's arm pops off!). I have been a fan of this movie since it came out on vhs and I highly recommend it in it's high definition gory.
