Bobby Grady (John Laughlin) and his wife Amy (Annie Potts) find they no longer have anything in common. Through his work Bobby crosses paths with businesswoman Joanna Crane (Kathleen Turner) a fashion designer and discovers she spends her nights as China Blue, an expensive hooker. In each other Bobby and Joanna find comfort, for him the passion that is missing from his marriage, for her the heady flush of finding true love for the first time. But into the fray comes typecast Anthony Perkins who goes over the top yet again as a 'Psycho' reverend who sweats profusely, spouts religious rhetoric, liberal profanities and sings "Get Happy". He sees China Blue as the salvation he seeks for his own depravity. CRIMES of PASSION is a stark probing of the murky backwaters of sexual deviancy and dark desires of the human animal.
