This is an autographed copy of The Filthy Thirteen, the unit which served as inspiration for the 1965 book and the 1967 firm, 'The Dirty Dozen'. Authors Richard Killblane Jake McNiece.
This copy is signed by Actg. Sgt. "Filthy 13" Jake McNiece, Demolition-Saboteur-Pathfinder of the 101st Airborne "The Screaming Eagles", 506 PIR Regt. Hq. Co.
Includes black white photos between pages 178 179. With this book is the signed calling card of Jake McNiece AND a copy of Decorations and Citations of James E. (Jake) McNiece the Merry Christmas memo.
The Filthy Thirteen was the name given to the 1st Demolition Section of the Regimental headquarters Company of the 5016th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Divisiion of the United States Army, which fought in the European campagin in World War II.
Measures 9" x 6" x 3/4" thick. 288 pages. In great condition. Only very minor creases, minordull edge on lower left side of back cover. All pages are in great condition.
