On list is a SUPER heavy duty DC power supply PCB design for pure class A amplifier or other high power amplifiers. The rectification diodes can be On Semi's MUR3020WT, MUR3040WT or MUR3020PT/MUR3040PT, or Vishay 60CPQ150. Two configuration can be installed as in the diagram below. With configuration one, the transformer side consists of two individual secondary coil. For configuration two, the transformer side requires a secondary coil with center tapping. For best isolation purpose, configuration one should be used. The board can allow normal capacitor filtering ( by shorting J8 and J9 with bare wires) or LC filtering by putting 1mH air-gap iron-core inductor or air core inductor at J8 and J9 respectively. The capacitor footprint on board can cater for 10mm, 22mm pitch and even three- and four-lead electrolytic capacitors. The maximum capacitor diameter is 35mm. This board can be used for one channel or two channels. For exotic requirement, one power supply board should be used for one audio channel.
