Item description
BEAUTIFULLY RARE! From The TYCO Industries of Moorestown, NJ FACTORY ARCHIVES this is the ORIGINAL, PHOTO AIR BRUSH, Color Illustration that was used to shoot the COMMAND CONTROL 2 MARKETING MATERIALS! SLIGHT CURL TO THE LAYOUT EDGES. MASTERFULLY DONE! Incredible, ONE of ONLY ONE EVER MADE. A RARE piece of HO Slot Car Advertising Printing History. In the days before computer design was widely used, Toy companies like TYCO Ind., would contract an outside artist/design firm to make a rendering of their ideas for box or card backgrounds. This work was then approved brought to a Very High End Photographer, who would in turn, would produce a very High Resolution Photograph from a $50,000 camera. That photograph was then Scanned in, often on a $50,000 Drum Scanner, to a computer for final processing ($25K, if one was around.) From this point, In-House Employees of TYCO would design, print Overlay the details of the CARD ART or BOX ART they were creating. Wording, overlays of the Track Layout, Fine Print, Bar Codes etc were made to the scale of the ARTWORK then submitted for approvals. Finally, in some cases, plastic Separations were made in Primary Colors to attach to the Printing Press for the Final Product. An Amazin Trip from Conception to the Finished Product we enjoyed as a toy. You will never look at your Race Sets or Package Art the same! Certainly Suitable For Framing, This AIRBRUSHED ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH is Very Finely Detailed. It is TOUGH TO TELL WHERE PHOTO ENDS AIRBRUSH BEGINS! IT IS THE EXACT MATCH TO THE RACE SET COVER ART that was released in stores. Comes as received with original cover details as shown. Much More Impressive in Real Life! Authenticity, quality condition absolutely guaranteed. Sold as is with no reserve. Buy with confidence please check out my other offbeat slot car related auctions. These come from my personal collector-obsessed 40-year collection. I will pack your item(s) well try to ship promptly. Descriptions are very accurate; No Returns. No Regrets. OVERSIZE SHIPPING HANDLING DOES APPLY. Glad to combine shipping when practical. Thanks S'lots Happy Motorin' from bobatslotcarcentral.com in Syracuse.
